Focusing on developing skills of our staff, helps us to meet service user needs and bring out the best in the individual. Development opportunities include on-the-job learning through coaching and feedback, work-shadowing and secondments; professional qualifications and a variety of internal training courses delivered by our in-house trainer.
Our new employees go through an induction programme and then meet with their manager to discuss their continuing professional development. Progress is reviewed regularly in one-to-one meetings and reviews. We provide a development framework, expert advice, and ongoing support from managers and colleagues.
All training is in line with the requirements as guided by the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) and The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA).
